David Fox, Artist ~ Photographer

Born in West Virginia in 1944 his family relocated to St. Augustine when David was 18 months old making him as close as you can be to a Florida Native.  His family was in the Dairy business and between growing up on a farm in coastal Florida in the 50’s and 60’s it is no wonder David developed a passion for wildlife and natural Florida.  David was formally educated in Economics and Social Services, but he also developed his love for painting and photography as a hobby.  After working for the State of Florida for 22 years David retired to a career in Photography and Painting.

David’s education while not related to the arts instilled in him an acute attention to detail which is evident today in his art.  His signature is a meticulous layout until just the right lighting and framing capturing the essence of his subject.  His detail is so impeccable he can take something as simple as the blade of a pen knife or the corner of a building and turn it into a master photo.

Dave’s subjects include lighthouses, wildlife and shorelines and includes almost anything within his eyesight.  He sees his subjects it in a perspective that most people cannot relate to until they see how he captures it.

Dave’s work can be found on Okeechobee Nature Photography face book page.  Dave is also the artist / manager at Park Street Gallery located at 513 SW Park Street Okeechobee FL.  He can also be reached there at 863-623-5513.
